Finn Hill Animal Hospital was founded in 2013 out of love and appreciation for all animals. More than a decade later, those principles remain as true as ever. We strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for all our visitors – that starts with Dr. Velu taking the time to greet every pet in the reception area.
Combined with our welcoming atmosphere, Finn Hill Animal Hospital strives to make veterinary care affordable for all. These principles illustrate our commitment to our community’s pets and pet parents.
Dr. Raja Velu founded Finn Hill Animal Hospital in 2013 to provide quality care at an affordable cost to the Kirkland pet-owning community. His approach to veterinary medicine is strongly influenced by his belief in integrating traditional and holistic medicine to better serve his patients.
Dr. Velu graduated from Tamilnadu Veterinary and Animal Science University in India, completing the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates certification program to receive his DVM in the US. He also trained in veterinary acupuncture at Colorado State University. Dr. Velu’s professional interests include surgery, client communication, and multimodal approaches to treating diseases. Before relocating to the US, Dr. Velu practiced equine medicine and worked treating race horses. Outside work, Dr. Velu enjoys spending time with his family and exercising. He has a Maltese named Bingo.
Along with Finn Hill Animal Hospital, he also devotes his time to his animal hospital in Kent.

I’m Ashley. I am a fairly fresh addition to the team. I have always worked in some aspect of the medical field – from pharmacy roots to dialysis care to reception in the hospital setting. While I have always enjoyed taking care of people. Sprinkle in a lifelong love of animals, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be learning and working with such a great crew. I am excited to be a part of this clinic’s journey, bringing genuinely great care to the critters and clients of the area.
I’m Linda (Presley) Gibbs. I was raised in Salem, moved to some other areas of the country, and now have come home to roost. I graduated HS in 1981, and then graduated college in 1984 with an Associate degree in Agri-Business. I have worked in vet clinics from Missouri to Texas and back again. I consider myself lucky to have worked with the best veterinarians wherever I have been, and Dr.Ouzts is definitely one of the best. I have always loved animals, wild or domestic, and have been fortunate enough to make it my career. I have a young Pomeranian, one old Pomeranian, and an old roping Paint horse now, so I feel like I have come full circle. I love continually learning, and I have a lot of experience in the veterinary field and have done it all; from cleaning and kennels to surgery and reception. I feel very lucky to have found my calling here in my hometown. I attend Dry Fork Baptist Church. Going to church fills and lifts my spirits. I loved team roping during my Texas years, I and my old Paint mare have had a lot of fun doing it. I love being a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister to my family. I know I’ll be going to heaven when I die to see my Lord.

I’m Alyvia. I am one of the kennel techs at Dent County Veterinary Clinic. I graduated High School in 2021. I am currently in college for my medical assistant certification. My favorite part about my job is seeing all of the different furry faces that come in and letting me love them. Then, I go home to my two Blue Heelers/Border Collie puppies that sit and smell me for hours on end.
Eli is a High School Senior who helps whenever and wherever he can. The team at Dent County Veterinary Clinic has tremendous affection for him and appreciates his willingness and great attitude.
Ibeth loves to spend time with her friends and family as well as being outdoors. She loves to travel. One of her favorite places to go is Michoacán, Mexico, where she visits family. She graduated from Henry M. Jackson High School in 2022 and will attend college to become a Medical Assistant.
Maryam enthusiastically joined our team in May and has jumped in ever since. Hailing from Kirkland, she is a dedicated student at Pima Medical Institute who aspires to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Her passion for animals extends to her role as a proud dog mom to a lunatic Husky named Sita.
Hannah has been working in the animal industry for several years and has no plans to stop! When they’re not helping pets and pet parents at the clinic, they enjoy playing video games, riding, and competing with their horses, Remy and Kitten.
